Kristen D’Angelo is the pastry chef and owner of Sweet Hearts Patisserie. After studying travel industry management at Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Kristen realized her hobby of cooking and baking might actually lead to the career she dreamed of. So after many a lopsided cake and collapsed souffle, Kristen eventually became a top graduate of The Culinary Institute of America’s baking and pastry program in Napa Valley, California.

Her passion for all things sweet and beautiful has come together in creating delightful pastries and dessert displays that are just as magnificent to eat as they are to look at. She has worked in several high end bakeries in Honolulu, Northern California, and New Jersey, as well as some of New York City’s top restaurants. Kristen’s eye for detail and simply elegant designs have made her pastries a big hit at parties and events around New York City and now in the DC Metro Area.

A Note About Sweet Hearts Patisserie

As the name might suggest, there is a lot of love that goes into each and every pastry at Sweet Hearts. My philosophy is that it is always better to enjoy a small bite of something heavenly than it is to eat way too much of something that is just OK. That is the basis of all my creations, and I hope that every person who eats one my pastries enjoys it thoroughly.
